NannyMaids Charity Drive

About NannyMaids and Our Charity Drive

Finding honest, diligent and reliable help has proven to be a difficult challenge faced by many working single parents and families these days, but that doesn’t have to be the case when you hire domestic workers and au pairs through a nanny agency. Whether you’re a parent who needs to find someone to look after your child in the morning only; a parent looking for someone to fetch your child after school and look after them until you get home at night; or a parent looking for someone to clean your home every day or every other day – we can help you!

Welcome to the Best Nanny and Healthcare Worker Services in Gauteng

Situated in Johannesburg, we’ve been in the nanny and au pair industry for many years and as a credible nanny and maid placement agency in Gauteng, we are committed to finding you the right person for your home and kids. Taking great pride in our philosophy of remaining ethical, honest, reliable and efficient, we recruit our nannies by word of mouth from everywhere, including SA, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Congo, Ghana, Uganda, Hungary, China, India, Lesotho, Swaziland and Botswana.

At NannyMaids, we provide the peace of mind that comes from doing meticulous investigations and background checks on all of our maids, healthcare workers and au pairs, from BIOMETRIC fingerprint screening to criminal checks – we will ONLY offer you an outstanding candidate with an exceptional track record. And if your nanny, au pair or health worker leaves within 6 months, we will replace him/her at no cost!

Now that you know a little more about NannyMaids, let’s talk about our charity drive. At NannyMaids, we’re not just the best nanny and healthcare worker service in Gauteng, we’re also a keen giver to our community, and are currently doing our bit for the Diepsloot community.

About Diepsloot

Diepsloot was established in 1995 as a temporary informal shelter for migrants and immigrants who had initially been evicted from settlements in Honeydew, Sevenfontein and Alexandra. With a growing population of more than 200 000 made up of Shangaan, Venda, , Pedi, Tswana, Xhosa and Zulu ethnicities – there are also people from Limpopo, Mozambique, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Somalia, Pakistan and Bangladesh. An area made up of electricity wires that zigzag above shacks made of corrugated iron sheets, RDP houses made of brick walls and iron sheet roofing, and bond houses made of brick walls and tiled roofing – Diepsloot is a settlement characterised by hopeless poverty, unemployment and appalling living conditions. An unkempt environment where the streets are cluttered with rotting garbage and drain water, not only is there no work, food, clothes, blankets or money, but the settlement also lacks access to health, recreational, educational and sports facilities.

NannyMaids Charity Drive and How You Can Help

At NannyMaids, we’re calling out to residents throughout Gauteng – we need your help! Not only are Diepsloot residents starving, they are also cold, especially now that winter is here. While many young children make do without, child neglect is rife due to the high levels of overcrowding, unemployment and poverty. Furthermore, it gets cold in winter and while most use paraffin to heat their shacks and RDP houses, in Diepsloot the bridges are extremely low and when it rains, the water overflows sweeping people and shacks away. Currently, the situation is Diepsloot is extremely bad, and that is why we have put together a NannyMaids charity drive to help the community at Diepsloot.

At NannyMaids, we are collecting blankets and clothes for the Diepsloot community to help the needy through this cold winter. We are asking Gauteng residents to go through there cupboards and donate anything that they do not need any more. We are asking for baby clothing, children’s clothing, adult clothing, blankets and towels. Whatever you don’t need, we know that these items would be hugely appreciated by the residents of Diepsloot.

Our NannyMaids charity drive is an initiative that will make an enormous difference in the lives of many who go to bed cold at night. If you’re able to help, then please kindly drop clothing and blankets at our offices in Sunninghill. Once we receive these items, we drop them off on the last Friday of each month till the 31st of August 2015. To learn more about our NannyMaids charity drive, contact us today.
